Scholarship Program
Walt Nicoson Memorial
Annual Youth Scholarships
Who was Walt Nicoson
Walt was an avid hunter and wildlife lover. Walt donated his time and energy to the Arizona Elk Society. He was a Founding Life member and a Habitat Partner. He volunteered for all the AES events but helping the youth of Arizona experience the joy of hunting and the outdoors was Walt’s passion. Instilling respect, ethics and responsibility for wildlife and wildlife habitat was foremost to Walt. The AES feels that there is no better person to name our scholarship after than Walt Nicoson. We hope that Walt’s example of dedication and volunteerism to the AES and wildlife will be instilled in our scholarship recipients.
