The Arizona Elk Society hunting camps with mentors are a great place to get young hunters introduced to hunting. They learn all about hunting from seasoned hunters and our mentors take the kids out with their guardians to give the first hand lessons that will help them become successful hunters and instill ethics and much more.

This is a great time of the year to get into the outdoors and experience the cool nights of fall, with cooler daytime temps, and possibly hearing the elk bugling around you. \NThe job site is a peaceful and beautiful area, as well as the surrounding forest. It is looking like we will need a 3rd weekend to finish building the elk exclosure fence around this natural spring. The reason we are building this is that the elk and livestock are ruining the hydrological function of the spring by compacting the dirt around the base of it. We want to restore the natural function of this spring. Arizona Elk Society Partners with PVCI and AZGFD to provide a learning experience for new predator hunters August 7th-9th. AES provides the kitchen, cooks and food. AES will need help with setup on Friday, 8/7, at noon. The more hands the better. The kitchen tents are large! We will cook for the hunters all weekend and pack up Sunday after breakfast. This a wonderful way to give back and maybe learn something new about predator calling!
